Dr. Melissanne Dalena
Dr. Melissanne Dalena is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Before returning to Tennessee, she completed a one-year small animal internship at a specialty hospital in North Carolina.
She is passionate about a well-rounded career in both small animal general practise and emergency medicine. She values the human animal bonds within families, finding treatment options for their beloved pets.
She has focused her continuing education interests on soft tissue & orthopedic surgery as well as emergency procedures.
She is of Italian descent, so outside of work loves to cook and feed those around her. She spends most of her time enjoying new cultural experiences with her husband, Andrew Jordan, and children.
Dr. William Pals
Dr. William Pals has been practicing veterinary medicine for more than 30 years, dedicating his career to improving the lives of pets and the families who love them. A graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, his passion for animals began at an early age. Born and raised in West Michigan, he grew up working alongside his father, a veterinarian, where he developed a lifelong love for both medicine and compassionate animal care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Pals has owned five veterinary hospitals, including founding Goose Creek Pet Hospital in Franklin, Tennessee, in 2016, which was sold at the end of 2022. He has also earned a reputation for revitalizing struggling veterinary practices, helping transform them into thriving community hospitals known for exceptional care.
Dr. Pals has special interests in dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and is expanding his work in innovative and alternative approaches to cancer treatment. His greatest professional joy comes from serving families by helping their pets live healthier, happier lives.
Licensed and experienced in multiple states, Dr. Pals has owned practices in Michigan, Indiana, and Tennessee. He and his family also spent two years living in Rwanda, where they served at a Christian school—an experience that strengthened both his faith and his commitment to serving others.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Pals is the proud father of three daughters and has a lovely wife. He is also an avid hiker. His favorite place on earth is Kauai, where he has spent meaningful time with his wife and daughters and enjoys exploring the island’s breathtaking trails. After recently saying goodbye to his beloved Black Labrador of 14 years, he has welcomed a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy named Millie, who has quickly captured his heart. He also has two cats who are slowly warming up to Millie.
Dr. Andrew Jordan
Dr. Andrew Jordan is a 2019 University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. He is a native of Lewisburg TN and is excited for the opportunity to build relationships with clients and their pets, through exceptional veterinary care servicing his southern middle Tennessee home.
He currently owns and operates a large animal veterinary practice in Lewisburg. While he loves the bovine species, he is excited to provide general practice services in his interest areas of cardiology, and soft tissue surgery.
When he is not working he enjoys spending time at his century family farm. Dr. Jordan enjoys traveling within the United States as well as internationally. His fondest moments are cooking alongside his wife, for family and friends.
Dr. Sarah Spidel
Dr. Sarah Spidel grew up in rural north central Ohio. She was highly involved in local 4H and various competitive sports teams growing up and continue to support youth in these activities .
She received her doctor of veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri and has lived in middle Tennessee since graduation in 2011. There she has owned & practiced mixed animal veterinary medicine with an emphasis on her exclusively large animal practice.
She is very excited to be extending her services back into companion animals with her additional love for shelter medicine & soft tissue surgery.
Her passions and hobbies include hiking, sewing, collecting rocks, kayaking, horseback riding, photography and woodworking.
