How do I schedule an appointment?
You can call our office at (615) 241-6300 or request an appointment online. Our team will confirm a time that works for you and your pet.
What should I bring to my pet’s first visit?
Please bring any previous medical and vaccination records, a list of current medications or supplements, and a fresh stool sample if possible. Completing our online forms ahead of time helps your visit go smoothly.
How often should my pet have a wellness exam?
Most adult dogs and cats should have a wellness exam at least once a year. Puppies, kittens, and senior pets often benefit from more frequent visits. Learn more about our preventative care services.
Which vaccines does my pet need?
Core vaccines such as rabies and distemper are recommended for nearly all pets, while lifestyle vaccines depend on your pet’s risk of exposure. Our veterinarians will build a schedule tailored to your pet during a vaccination visit.
Is parasite prevention really needed year-round in Tennessee?
Yes. Middle Tennessee’s mild climate allows fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes that spread heartworm to stay active for much of the year. Year-round parasite prevention is the safest approach for most pets.
Why is pet dental care so important?
Dental disease is the most common health problem in adult dogs and cats and can affect the heart, liver, and kidneys if left untreated. Regular exams and professional dental cleanings help keep your pet’s mouth and body healthy.
At what age should I spay or neuter my pet?
The ideal timing depends on your pet’s species, breed, and size. Our veterinarians will recommend the best age for your pet during an exam. Learn more on our spay and neuter page.
Do you offer microchipping?
Yes. Microchipping is a quick, safe procedure that gives your pet a permanent form of identification and greatly improves the chances of reunion if your pet is ever lost.
Can you run lab tests in the office?
Yes. Our in-house laboratory allows us to run blood work, heartworm tests, FeLV/FIV tests, and more, often with results the same day.
What imaging services do you provide?
We offer advanced digital x-rays and ultrasound to help us evaluate bones, organs, and soft tissues quickly and accurately.
Does my pet need to fast before surgery?
In most cases, yes. We will give you specific fasting and drop-off instructions before your pet’s procedure. Visit our surgery page to learn how we keep pets safe and comfortable.
My pet keeps scratching. Can you help?
Persistent itching, hair loss, and recurring ear infections are often linked to allergies or skin disease. Our dermatology consults focus on finding the cause and providing lasting relief.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Please call our office at (615) 241-6300 for current information on accepted payment methods.
What should I do if my pet has an emergency after hours?
